 The 1st of February marked the 1 year anniversary since the launch of the information portal at MiningSafety.co.za.
We discussed this with a friend, Morgan Piek, and told that his grandfather used to work on the mines in Southern Africa and more specifically in the old Northern Rhodesia, now known as Zambia.
He offered to provide us with some of the documentation on employment in the mining industry from the man he idolized! This includes very interesting documents such as blasting certificates to membership of the Mineworkers Union.
